This listing of those attending the 1978 Reunion of the 16th DLI Old Comrades' Assocation has been transcribed from a typescript photocopy found amongst my late father's papers. This would have been typed up by Major R Sherlaw MC and handed out on the night to all members attending the Reunion and also posted on by him to those on the OCA 'Heard From' list, which follows the listing of attendees below.

The OCA formerly disbanded in 1999, but during the 1970s, with most veterans still in their Fifties, it was thriving and still turning up long-lost 'new' members every year. Several of the 16th veterans listed here joined the OCA many years after the war, my own father included, and therefore do not feature in the 1945-47 OCA booklets transcribed elsewhere on the site.

Many of those listed here were interviewed at length by the Imperial War Museum, several with yours truly as the interviewer, as part of an extensive DLI oral history project which extended from circa 1988 to 2004. I have included direct links to these interviews, under each of the relevant names, which can now be freely listened to on the IWM site.

Many OCA members also feature on various group photographs already posted on my web site. Use the search button at right to find those already identified. And I'm sure many also feature on these photographs who have not yet been identified. And, of course, there are still many missing company photographs from 1942-46. So, if you can place any further names or provide further information and photographs--please get in touch:
